Thanks Marlene, I am very glad to hear that. My goal is always to try and break it down so that it’s easy to digest and understand. It’s nice to hear that it’s working :)

Great videos but I have a problem that you do not address.
I have installed wordpress in the directory http://www.blahblah.com/wordpress but I want to list my home page on http://www.blahblah.com how do I do this?
I cant do it in permalinks because if I leave the custom box blank wordpress will use a default url.
SO how do I set my homepage to the .com url???

This is usually done when you actually install WordPress.

Instead of installing it into a sub directory, you want to install it into the Root directory.

Many times when using an automatic installed like Simple Scripts or some other installer through your web host, they will automatically populate the form field in regards to which directory you want to install wordpress into.

Usually it is automatically populated with ‘wordpress’. By deleting that and having no characters in that form field, you will install directly into the Root.

    Hope this helps

Thank you for the informative video. However, I keep having trouble with my default “home” page robbing the content of another page and staying there. I can’t get rid of the home page. Getting close to screaming :)

Joe, I am not really sure what that could mean. Do you have an example you could share?
